Many times as an experienced Kenmore DWI Lawyer, I will have clients ask me what Leandra’s Law is. Leandra’s Law is a new law in the last couple of years that the legislature enacted in New York State. This law means that if you are found to be in an intoxicated condition with a .08 or higher BAC in a vehicle where there is a child under 15 years of age, you may be charged with a felony. I will advise my clients as a Kenmore DWI Lawyer that this means that you will be facing state prison time, a longer suspension or revocation of your license, and greater fines and penalties than being in a car with someone who is over 15.
